The sculptural form of the cantilevered Koto LivingHome 1 conceives a comfortable, two-bedroom residence from a tiny footprint. Dubbed Yksi (Finnish for "first"), this is the first home Koto created for Plant, showcasing classic Scandinavian design elements that convey quiet luxury while maximizing light, space, and sustainable living.

Bedrooms are thoughtfully located on opposite ends of the first floor, forming private wings with independent views to the outdoors. A third bonus room is perfectly sized for a home office or twin guest bed.

The entire second floor is dedicated to an open kitchen, dining, and living room, making a welcoming space to entertain friends and family. Large picture windows create an incredible sense of openness, and sliding glass doors leading to two ample decks invite inhabitants to spend time outdoors—a core value of the Scandinavian lifestyle.

A natural timber exterior helps the Koto LivingHome 1 sit in harmony with its surroundings, with a much lower carbon footprint than typical synthetic or cement siding. Like every LivingHome, the Koto LivingHome 1 is designed to net-zero standards and ships complete with best-in-class smart home technology and energy monitoring.
